Legal Experience

Cacki Jewart practices commercial real estate law and general business law, and represents buyers, developers, equity investors and lenders in the acquisition, financing, (including mezzanine financing), development, leasing and sale of improved and unimproved commercial properties. She is a contributor to the firm's Real Estate Blawg.

Specific Matters of Representation:

  • Represents local real estate developers in the purchase and sale of multi-family, industrial, office and raw land properties ($5,000,000 to $80,000,000 range).
  • Represents a high end condominium developer in all aspects of condominium sales and ownership, including developer issues.
  • Represents a national retail developer on Texas shopping center pad sales.
  • Represented two national investors on Texas real estate issues in $225 million wind energy equity investment
  • Represents physicians, physicians groups, physical therapists and home health agencies in the purchase and development of medical office buildings, leases, subleases, construction contracts and related real estate transactions.
  • Represents owners in the purchase of third-party loans and work-out/renegotiation of their existing loans.
  • Represents a national bank in purchase, sale and leasing of bank branch and ATM locations.
  • Represents residential subdivision developers in all matters including creation of homeowners’ associations, sales to builders, sales of pad sites and drafting and enforcing restrictive covenants.
  • Represented a European investment company in Texas residential development project.
  • Represents a Texas-based energy corporation with contract negotiations issues.
  • Represented a renewable energy company in negotiation of solar lease.
  • Represented a subsidiary of a $2 billion private equity capital group in providing predevelopment loans and related equity investments in developed and undeveloped real estate projects in multiple states.
  • Represented an international semiconductor company in negotiation, preparation and advice regarding leases and other domestic real estate matters.
  • Represented a national lender as Texas counsel on $90,000,000 loan for wind energy project.
  • Represented a closely held business expanding into real estate development in purchase of raw land, financing and condominium sales issues for Williamson County projects.
  • Represented a national real estate firm in the acquisition, leasing, sale and development of commercial real estate properties including multi-family and office projects in the $10,000,000 to $20,000,000 range.
