As the current Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section, David Hilgers is on the forefront of national policy work related to health care law. He and the rest of our health care team help shape new policies that affect our clients and the general public.
Government Relations
Members of our team have been involved in the development of Texas’s HMO and PPO framework, the development of Medicaid Disproportionate Share and Upper Payment Limit regulations, Texas’s Patient Solicitation (Anti-Kickback) Act, and the development of certain Stark exceptions. We and our governmental and legislative affairs group further our clients’ interest by drafting and helping pass or defeat legislation, testifying before state and federal bodies, and providing full representation before rule-making regulatory bodies.
